DS503B Deluxe Velvet Peg For Soprano Saxophone and Flugelhorn

I love Hercules stands! They hold my instruments very securly. My Soprano Sax fit well on this peg and felt very stable. Once or twice I bumped into the stand but it was sturdy enough that my instrument stayed upright.

Brilliant design that adjusts perfectly to your instrument. Stable and easy to setup. It has soft surfaces that will not scratch your instrument. I purchased the adapter since I have several of the base stands already. It works great. I highly recommend it.

I've had some issues with other stands due to the fact my little soprano has a curved bell. This has been a perfect addition to my Hercules stand. With the Bell stop all the way at the bottom it keeps the horn from leaning outward and increases stability. Wish I had discovered it years ago!

I have a saprano sax that I put on this stand. The stand also holds clarinets. The ball on top of this peg is great for guidance when putting the sax on or taking it out. The bell part is adjustable which is nice to have, if you plan to put different instrument on. It is easy to screw out of the stand and use another peg for other instruments.

I bought a Hercules Sax Stand to use when I'm trading off instruments. Hercules DS532BB Alto/Tenor Sax+1 Clarinet/Flute ST w/Bag The Flute peg was too small to hold either of my Sopranos securely, so I ordered the soprano peg. I was afraid that it might be too fat for my C soprano, which has a smaller bore, but it fits it just right. My Bb soprano is fine, too. I especially appreciate that it raises the instrument off the floor a little - one problem with trading between soprano and another horn is that if your soprano sits on the floor it gets cold and goes out of tune. Ideally, I should probably put this thing on a music stand or something to raise even higher, but it is great for now. BTW, shipping was FAST! Maybe it helps that the vendor it came from gets the orders to the shipper the same day and it only two or three days away from me even by first class mail or "standard" shipping. I was doubling alto and soprano in the pit, and this peg was a fine addition to the basic saxophone stand offered by Hercules at a good price point. I love the felt like material used on all of Hercules pegs where the stand makes contact with the instrument. But most of all it works well and has not failed me or given me any trouble.

This peg is a great stand for a straight soprano and fits perfectly on my Hercules Tenor Stand with the tenor on it as well. I have never had any issues with the stand falling because of weight or anything. Just make sure you adjust it and make sure it is screwed in fully before putting the soprano on or else it might wobble.

It works perfectly

This stand is for a soprano saxophone but it won't be suitable for the type which has a curved bell. It must have a straight end in order to fit over the peg stand. I already had a Hercules EZ-Safe Alto / Tenor Saxophone Stand - DS530BB which I bought in 2014 for my alto saxophone. It is a robust stand and still looks new, years later. So when I got a soprano sax I had no hesitation in getting this accessory. There are sockets in the legs of the stand, so you can choose which position to put the additional stand on the left or right side of the main alto/tenor saxophone stand. There were no instructions with the peg stand, but you simply screw it into the leg of the main stand. It only takes seconds to do this and then its ready for use. The peg stand has an umbrella shape support which holds the bell of the saxophone. The unbrella support is adjustable and can be raised or lowered depending on the shape and size of your instrument. The peg has a soft spongy head so the saxophone is securely held without being damaged. So this is a really useful accessory to provide additional storage on one stand. It looks great too!
