Picture of Pump Drain Line added
To be clear and fair, the 70 pint dehumidifier (with pump) has only been running for around 8 hrs. I'll update my review in a few months. Initial run is supposed to be 24 straight hours on "continuous mode." It took no time to get my basement from 51% to 38% and that's where it's been since. But, I wanted to attach pictures of the pump hose drain line. Size is approx the diameter of a pencil. So far so good. Didn't want to rate the energy efficiency since you can get that online. Noise level too. But, I can tell you it's no louder than the Frigidaire 50 pint I have had for 10 yrs (compressor finally died). Pump draining really isn't that noisy neither. It is slightly louder then the dehumidifier running but only runs up to 2 minutes (or so) at a time.A little more history that I answered last week in the Q&A (above):Model # of the one w/o the pump is the same as the other 70 pint models you see from homelabs. The difference is the pump. I reached out to them since there was very little info or pictures. Their customer service # (800) 898-3002. Rep there was very friendly. I didn't get pictures but they sent me the manual that includes info on the pump. Email them at, [email protected]. It took awhile but I finally got the pump hose size and dimensions. This is what they sent as follows:1) ASIN B07PND4LQZ - hOmeLabs 70 Pint Dehumidifier Featuring Intelligent Humidity Control - Energy Star Rated, Ideal for Large-Sized Rooms and Basements to Remove Moisture-Related Mold, Mildew and Allergens. SKU: HME020031N2) ASIN B07PMFMVDP - hOmeLabs 70 Pint Dehumidifier (with Pump) Featuring Intelligent Humidity Control - Energy Star Rated, Ideal for Large-Sized Rooms and Basements. SKU: HME020082N.Also, the pump is internal to the unit thus can only use the attached hose provided: hose diameter : 11/16 inch or 27 mm, itch 11.5 TPI, length: 5 meters, max elevation/height from base is 16 inches.Hope this helps.

If power goes out, this comes back on with the pump turned off
This works great. I've had it running in my basement non-stop since it arrived. My only complaint is that I came home from work today and the unit was off because the tank was full. My neighborhood lost power for a split second this morning during a storm. Apparently when this thing comes back on it doesn't return to the previous settings, or at least not including the pump status. So this thing sat with a full tank for most of the day because when I peeked downstairs before going to work I saw that it had come back on but did not bother to check to see that the pump was still set to on.That's a bad design. Either have it not come back on at all after a power interruption, or have it come back on set exactly the same way as it was set before the power went off. Having some settings return and others not return is not a good feature. I bought this with a pump for the exact reason of not having it stop because the tank is full. If it can't retain that setting when the power goes out, that defeats the purpose of this thing.

Effective, affordable, a bit loud
Purchased this earlier this summer - has been running for about a month at the time of this review. So far, it has been effective at reducing moisture levels in my basement. Just using the bucket initially, planning to switch over to gravity drain but wanted to test it for a while before leaving it on autopilot, and having to check on it once a day helps with that. The noise level seems typical for dehumidifiers of this size when it first turns on. The basic fan noise is standard. But this one has a buzz / loud hum to it when the compressor kicks in that is very noticeable, and much louder than others I have tried. I have seen this complain in other online reviews of the hOmeLabs dehumidifiers, and so shied away from this or the previous model initially - and they are definitely correct that it is noticeable. But at this price, I can live with some extra noise that far away from me in the basement. As with most dehumidifiers, the proof of quality won't be seen for two years or more - if it is less than that, not too impressive. Anything that lasts much longer than that seems to be an outlier in the current dehumidifier market. Glad to see this has a two year warranty, some reassurance in that anyway.

Works well and great customer service
I got this for use in our finished basement to replace a 17 year old 40 pint per day dehumidifier. This one is much quieter and the pump feature means that I don't have to empty the bucket every day. It also works a lot faster: it dropped the humidity to 35% in one day; the old one hadn't gotten below 45% after running for several days, partly because of off time when the bucket needed to be emptied. The power use is about 10% lower when it is running than the old one. Considering that it also takes the humidity out fast, the savings has to be at least that. The device came with a small plastic part broken. I emailed customer service and they resolved the problem quickly and to more than my satisfaction. In fact, the customer service was over-the-top!!! Very pleased with the purchase and I would buy one again.

Don't buy
Different name but the same as the one I had that just lasted 4 months.

Totally useless.
Got this to replace a similar unit that has a failed pump after 6 months. This one didn't last 2 days. After 1 day the only part working is the fan. Complete junk. Thank you Amazon for your easy refund policy. After 3 different brands, I believe that no brand can produce a pump that works more than 6 months so I'm back to using my old unit and trying to create some way to use an external sump pump. Frustrated but at least my 2 year old Frigidaire still dehumidifies the basement

I hate this so much, I wish I could return it....
I bought this for an area of my basement. The floor has a barely discernible slope toward a drain....across an 80’ area. It’s apparently too unlevel for this snowflake, fragile piece of equipment to operate with the hose attachment so that I have to empty the pan twice a day to make sure it keeps running—-exactly what I DIDN’T want to do. Unfortunately, it is too heavy and bulky for me to return.Do not make the same mistake. If you want to automatically drain, DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL!
