how doea it stay closed and will it turn itself off?

The cover stays closed with two small magnets and metal strips on the cover. When cover is closed the tablet is put on sleep mode.

Will this fit a galaxy tab pro model SM – T 900 which is 11 5/8 by 8 1/8?

I have a SM-P900 and it fits. Can't speak to T900.
