Love this product. Puts the lift in my hair that I need

Great for lift!
Love this! And it's hard to find, sometimes. I've read a few reviews that complain about the texture of your hair after using this product and I am wondering if perhaps the users do not understand the purpose of the product. This mouse is not meant for all-over use. It's meant to be sprayed on just the roots. That's why it's a spray - so you can target your roots. I generally wash my hair at night because it takes forever to dry, so in the morning I spray it a bit with a water bottle. Then I hold my hair up in sections and spray this on my roots. I use another curl defining product on the rest of my hair. Once my hair is dry, or nearly dry, I hold my hair up at the roots where the mousse is and use a hair dryer to activate the root-lift to give my hair lift and volume. I have only found one other spray mousse available in another brand so I hope this one continues to be available for a long time. It's a great product - but remember - only for your roots! It's too strong, otherwise!

[Thick/straight/long hair] -Instructions may be misleading....
....but a little tweaking and this stuff is fantastic! The reviews on this all seem to be either love or hate. If I tried to use it as instructed I'd hate it. But I don't use it until my hair is fully dry, and sometimes not even until after I've styled it. I then lift the hair away from my scalp where I feel I need volume, section it and spray right into the exposed scalp between sections. I'll use my fingers to squish it around against my scalp, but I never brush or comb through. I then use a claw clip to hold the hair in that area up away from my scalp until it dries. Once dry I have crazy lift and volume up there, even though my hair is heavy and naturally falls flat against my head (it's thick, but stick-straight). The only problem I have with the product is that it is slow to dry. If I let it air-dry, it takes a half hour or more. But it works the same way if I blow-dry it with the claw clips in place. The only time I used it on wet hair and then went through my normal blow-dry routine I HATED it. It spread too far down the length of my hair during blow-drying, then just gave me sticky hair. I salvaged it by using the flat iron to pull each section up and away from the scalp, but it took way too long and wasn't anything special as far as hair styles go, after all that time and effort. The way I've found to use it gives me almost a 1920s Flapper-type wave up there. I usually just use my fingers after I take it out of the claw clips, to place it and maybe smooth a little - it gets crazy crimps sometimes from being in the clips wrong. Sometimes I use a pick. If I need a more structured style I'll backcomb it a little, and this stuff has fantastic properties for backcomb hold. All in all, I love this stuff. I wish it came in a paste that dried faster. (If anyone knows of a product like that, please let me know!) But until I find that I'll keep using this.

Favorite Root Volume Spray!
I LOVE this product - I have straight hair medium/fine texture and I struggle with products to get that big volume. I currently have a chin length bob with layers and this stuff is amazing!! I saw it while shopping and decided to give it a try - this is my go to now. I part my wet hair in sections and spray a little at the root and work it in. Then I use my brush dryer to style and I am done in under 15min. And I have volume that lasts ALLLL DAY. I ran out and could not find it in a store anywhere - went to Ulta and decided to buy the Sexy Hair Big Root Pump but for the price it does not compare. Hands down I will be purchasing the Garnier Root Amp. I saw where other reviews said that it left their hair sticky - I made the same mistake. A little goes a long way! I use 1-2 short sprays across the section of the hair and I have found that is what works for me.

Comfort and affordable.
This is one of my favorite hair products. Really helps thin limp hair.

Not for super high volume- great product all together
I like the product, but it doesn’t work for super high volume. It’s just enough for me. If you are going for super high volume, this isn’t for you. I on the other hand am not looking for super high volume so I’m am very pleased with the product. It also helps hold the hair style for longer than my hair usually does!

Product works
Finally, a product that actually works! I have short, gray thin hair and this really gives volume. Love it.

I keep ordering this stuff time and time again!
I really like it so much, and can no longer find it on the shelves at Target. So, when my supply of the Root Lifting Spray Mousse begins to get low (and I don't want to be caught without it) I head straight to Amazon, because I know I can find it here, and the cost won't break the bank. Because it works very well in my hair (longish pixie cut - but medium thickness), I find I don't have to be heavy handed to make certain I have applied enough product. Too much, and it appears to not only make my hair feel a bit sticky, but it's overkill. Remember to shake the can well before use. And for me, I target just the roots at the back crown, before I blow dry. There are times I still will add a light hairspray for a finishing touch, and the reason is, this stuff, is a lifting spray mousse, and NOT a heavy formula that glues your hair to hold a particular shape. Again, I've learned a little goes a long way. And as long as Amazon's seller (Garnier, but sold by Amazon.com Services, Inc), keeps this in stock, I will keep coming back to buy it- oh, and as long as the Garnier doesn't hike up the price astronomically, I will continue to be a loyal customer.
