Great Bang For The Buck!
I bought this from Costco for $299. Honestly... it's a great bike for the money. You'll hear a ton of people trashing it, because it's a Costco/Walmart bike, but it's honestly not. The frame is made by Giant, and is the same frame on a $600 version of a Giant. It has an elastomeric front suspension, but that's to be expected for a bike in this price range. The Shimano disc brakes are quite nice, and better than expected. They're not hydraulic, but again... this is a $300 bike. Bottom line... if you're looking for an inexpensive, yet well build bike for mild trail riding or dirt road exercise... this is a lot of bike for the money.

Love mine!
I purchased this bike from Costco and it's phenomenal. There's a lot of elitism in the world of biking and these get a lot of hate for being kit bikes, but I gave it a shot last year around Spring time, and I rode the trails pretty heavily all summer. I've been riding it really hard these past two months as well (hitting intermediate trails 2x a week for 1.5-2 hour/10 mile rides)Cosmetically, it's all beat up from several decent falls, but it works as good as new. The great thing is, it cost me $299 and not ~$800 like some of the nicer name brand bikes, so I don't feel bad and abuse it quite heavily. It's comfortable and a joy to ride. Can't recommend it enough.

High quality frame and tires
I searched for weeks and finally found what I was looking for, a 21 speeds mountain bike that is high quality all around, all aluminum, very light and smooth riding on all terrain and for $400 is worth every dollar. Compared to a $600 - 800 bike you cannot go wrong.
