Works on Delta 36-725T2
Took a chance here. Saw it fit the older 725 but wasn't sure about the T2 version. Happy to report, it fits! It's made of decent gauge steel with the zero-clearance block being made of hard plastic. Overall it feels much sturdier than what came stock. When I first raised my blade through the plate, I was taken back by how loud it was. The hard plastic insert really rings if the blade brushes it at all. The solution I found was to remove the plate, clean up the cut with a little 120 grit sandpaper, and then re-install. Now it sounds fantastic(very quite).Sadly, it's not a true "zero-clearance" plate. The rear half of the blade is exposed via an approximately 3/8" gap.Overall, happy with the purchase.***My Rating Criteria***Build Quality(36.0%) - 5.0 StarsEfficacy(54.0%) - 4.0 StarsPost-Sale Support(0.0%) - n/aPackaging/Presentation(10.0%) - 5.0 StarsWEIGHTED AVERAGE(100.0%) - 4.5 STARS

Does the job. Satisfied with the purchase.
I was "planning" to make my own ZC insert but caved and decided to buy one. This insert is well made. Its not perfect but it does the job. You may need to tweak the tabs a little to get it to lay flat on your saw but once its there it isn't moving. The saw blade makes a heck of a racket with this insert because the sides of the slit are chaffing up against the sides of the blade. Two ways to fix that: (1) When you make the slit (by raising the spinning blade through the insert) have a slightly thicker blade installed on your saw. If you don't have an extra blade you can (2) raise the blade normally then drop it, lean it over 3-degrees os to one side, raise and lower the blade, then 3-deg to the other side, raise and lower the blade again. The idea is to take just enough material off the insert so that it no longer contacts the sides of your blade causing that high pitched wailing sound. I would recommend buying this to anyone that owns the 36-725. Good luck and work safe!

More substantial that I thought. Good purchase
I installed this on a Delta 36-725T2 for reference. One thing that is lacking for our Delta saws is accessories. Those that have this saw know that making a zero clearance throat plate would require quite a bit more work than usual. This plate rids you of any headache making it worth its price, which is high in my opinion.Pros: Heavier than OEM throat plate / Zero Clearance insert works as hoped / BlackCons: Price / Must readjust height screws / A little warped

Parcel 0-clearence
I really like the fact of a clean cut because of the zero clearance but I wish it was the whole length. When you cutting a small thin piece of something and it leave a small slice that can be caught in the gap and get kick back at you.

Serviceable but has a QC problem
First, this is the only commercially made ZC insert you could possibly find for you Delta 36-725 or 36-5000 series TS. I bought two when they became available and have been using one for some time before writing this review.Pros: good fit and finish, and also a perfect fit on my particular 36-725 TS. Does the job fairly well except some quality issue I'll detail in the following.Cons: the main problem I've got with this ZC insert is the quality. My two plates both showed some sag in the center of the plate out of the box, in other words, the plate is a bow-shape when viewing from the side. That means you can not get it perfectly leveled and flush with the TS table. For wider cuts (between the blade and the fence) there is little problem, but when you rip a narrow work piece or try to resaw a board, the work piece may not get good support when passed through between the fence and the blade. I found this in a hard way.Overall it's quite serviceable but the Cons I mentioned greatly limits its full usability. I'll make my own ZC someday to fully address the saggy problem.

Excellent zero clearance table saw insert for Delta 36-725
I needed a zero clearance insert for my Delta 36-725T2 table saw. I came across this item and it states it is for the 36-501 model but it fits perfectly in my 36-725. It has a solid hard plastic piece that you run the blade through to get the zero clearance (for that particular blade).

Too costly
The price of this insert is much too high it is a necessary item nut shouldn't cost this much if I had know these parts were this expensive I would have stayed with my Rigid saw I was that upset

Great Zero Clearance insert, if you want a professional look
Looks much better than my plywood ZCI I had before. This one just takes all the hassle out with the leveling and centering screws. Although it was rubbing my blade a bit and sounded awful, but I took some sandpaper to the opening to fix that.
