Manfrotto DSLR PIXI Mini Tripod, Red (MTPIXI-RD),Portable

For such a low price point, I didn't have high expectations for this little tripod. I wanted a small source of stability for my camera for longer exposure shots and short video records, but I found myself using it for many other purposes. The ball head feels of very high quality and will easily and precisely position your camera or smartphone in a wide range of angles. The legs are sturdy enough to stay in place even without being fully articulated, adding to the range of positioning that can be achieved with this thing. This has since become my go-to option for holding my camera or smartphone when video chatting or video conferencing, because it's so easy to use. It's inexpensive, study, looks great, and full of versatility. Immediately became a "must-bring" when I'm traveling.

This tripod seriously exceeded my expectations. The build quality is outstanding, it's made of a high-end, lightweight plastic. It is slightly heavy at a little over 8 ounces, but I think most of the weight is from the (sturdy) ball head. That would explain how it has great balancing. I didn't expect it to hold my T3i w/battery grip and Sigma 17-70 (which is quite a bit heavier than a standard kit lens). Take a look at the photo I've attached, that's about as far back as I could position the camera (approximately a 45 degree angle). It may look like it's about to tip over, but it is very stable still at this position; I tried pushing it down a bit to see if it would tip over or sideways (having one of the legs aligned underneath helps) but it felt sturdy and stable. However, the opposite (lens downward) is too heavy for the ball head and it starts to slip. I was able to position the lens downward slightly and it's totally stable with the lens pointed straight out, but I'm still giving this little guy a 5-star rating because I totally did NOT expect it to take this much weight. It also fits very nicely along my lenses in my Lowepro SlingShot bag.

Nice little tripod for simple jobs. Got this for my smartphone and it’ll do the job without issue. Made of plastic but seems sturdy. The ball head adjusts via push button and so far has held up without any loss in friction or positioning. Not sure how this would hold up for heavier cameras, but for a smartphone or point and shoot this small tripod will hold up just fine. Be aware that the leg height is fixed, so no micro adjustments can be made. When the legs are closed, it has a nice ergonomic feel for handheld use. The screwdown point is fixed so you have to rotate the entire tripod to screw/unscrew your mount/camera. Some reviews seem to indicate poor craftsmanship, perhaps they got knockoffs. Mine appears legitimate as the quality in plastic and ball head clamp appear well made

I like it, it was very useful during vacation and it doesn't feel cheap. It is quite sturdy. I just don't love the button to rotate the ball. It's very hard to press, but I supposed that can be a good thing in a sense that it won't budge easily.

High-quality little tripod that's perfect for your phone! I have two of them and use them both all the time. Highly recommend!

Holy snap! How can people give this anything less than a 5 star rating? I’ve bought hundreds of items from amazon and this is the second item that has impressed me so much as to write a review. This tripod is STURDY. The plastics are dense and the metals are light, it feels like this thing can withstand hundreds of drops without being affected in any way. Very good build quality! I can’t believe this is under $30. For $20 it’s an absolute must since it works as both a small desk tripod and a grip. It can hold small DSLR’s and action cameras which is great and it’s so easy to use and setup. No hassles whatsoever! I’ve never been happier with a purchase in my life :)

This is just heavy enough and has enough tension in the joint to hold a DSLR firmly, even with a big lens on it, for the unexpected moments you need a tripod. It is also fantastic for something as small as a webcam. I use it for both. The wide stance makes it exceptionally stable. The adjustment mechanism is easy to use, though I do wish it were a little easier to determine when it ball is exactly level. The silver ball is visible at the top of the red "joint" it is encased in and if the product had a ring to match up around the red joint edge that would be cool. Nonetheless, I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and design of this product.

This is an impressive little tripod. I works so well with my Canon G7x Mark II. I love having the ball head on it to give a lot of versatility when using it outdoors. The one problem with it is that it can fall over easy if you don't have all three legs out all the way. Which is a no duh type thing, but when you don't have a totally flat surface to sit the tripod on it makes it a little tricky. I like to use mine for holding out the camera in selfie mode for my youtube channel, and having a handle to hold on to when all three legs are collapsed into each other. I would absolutely buy this again. It's built really well and is nice and compact.

Manfrotto makes the really high quality tripods. Was very happy with how strudy this tripod is

Por el tamaño pareciera no ser resistente pero es todo lo contrario, lo he probado durante mucho tiempo tanto con una cámara reflex con un gran angular así como con mi teléfono, es una gran accesorio para fotografía móvil y una manera interesante de encontrar otros ángulos con la reflex. Como todo accesorio no está de más darle mantenimiento ya que el soporte puede llegar a suavizarse por el uso continuo pero no es nada que no se resuelva apretando algunos tornillos. Está construido con un material muy resistente que bien puede ser llevado a cualquier clima y terreno.

Needed this to attach a semi-pro camcorder, and was concerned it might not be stable. No worries - it is rock steady, and stands just 14cm tall! What a great bit of kit! I can even use it as a handle for the camera (with care though - it probably wasn't designed for that, and the legs could be slippery!) The easily adjustable 'button' works a dream to get just the right angle.
