Antenna stopped functioning after 1.5 months, they sent me a replacement.
Update11/27/18: in Late August I was contacted by the Owner of Vilso apologizing for the delay in contacting me. It was about 1 year after my initial complaint. He said he recently found out a number of complaints were not addressed and he was personally reaching out to rectify the situation. He sent me a new antenna as a replacement which I received in late October. I have not installed yet as I have a newborn to take care of, but I appreciate the replacement antenna. I updated to 4 stars because of the extremely delayed response and I had to figure out a work around to get it running. Antenna works well even in the attic.DO NOT BUY THIS ANTENNA!!!!! It stops working after a less than 2 months and their customer service department does not respond to emails or calls. It appears they do not honor their supposed 1 year warranty.I recently moved into a new house and had to install an antenna to get the tv shows I usually watch. I held off on moving the dvr from my old house until the antenna was properly installed and functioning. I installed mine in my attic so its not effected by weather and everything worked great initially. The antenna was great for the first month and a half of use. During the week of Thanksgiving I noticed most shows were not showing up on the dvr, I don't watch much live tv, so I didn't realize I lost signal. Most channels are not coming in clearly or not at all. I went to the attic to adjust the antenna and I noticed motor controller/amplifier has no lights on it anymore. I checked the outlet and there is power. It seems the controller has stopped working. There is supposed to be a 1 year warranty on the antenna. I emailed the customer service per the card inside the box. I also tried calling the customer service department via the phone number in the emails they sent asking for reviews on the antenna. No response at all to my 2 emails. No reply to voicemail I left on their customer service phone line either. So much for having a warranty if they do not respond to you to honor it. Vilso asked for a review of their product, I have never left an Amazon review before, but due to the lack of response, I am leaving a negative one.I will update my review if they respond to my email/calls.

Definitely Worth The Money
We recently decided to stop paying for satellite TV and go with over the air, Amazon Prime and HULU. I started with an indoor HD antenna from Walmart, but it couldn't pick up NBC no matter where I put it. After about a month, I found this one. And for the price, I had nothing to lose. It was super easy to assemble and I decided to put it in the attic. I disconnected my satellite coax and used that rather than run new lines. If you put it in the attic, don't forget you can hang it upside down from a rafter rather than messing around mounting a pole on the floor.Just a couple of 99 cent C-brackets like they secure water lines under your house with and I was in business. I cut an old 3/4 inch piece of aluminum tubing that I had in my shed down to 18 inches for the pole. No problemo. The instructions are in English and easy to follow. It's just a few screws. Definitely worth it.Just a couple of other comments. First, if you order this antenna, immediately look around and make sure you have 2 AAA batteries for the remote. BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED. If you use your existing cable lines, and you have double lines like I did, hook up the power box near the TV and connect the satellite coax to it before you go into the attic or on the roof. That way, when you try and guess which coax is the one going to the box, it'll be the one that makes the little red light come on on the antenna. That will save you a couple of trips up into a hot attic or roof. Last and definitely least, the picture of the antenna on the box is grossly out of proportion to the house and the people. It's no where near as big as the old antennas from back in the day. So unless that house is near Oz and those are Munchkins, don't be expecting a large antenna. But again, definitely worth buying. I get ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, CW, and several other channels just like I wanted. Crystal clear.

I doubled my HD channels from 12 to 24! ...
I doubled my HD channels from 12 to 24! Amazingly clear with richer color. It took me about 20 min to completely assemble the antenna. No problems- I did not even look at the instructions except for the diagrams. The only item not included is a 6' cable between the antenna and the amplifier box. I ceiling mounted the unit inside on my first floor about 10 feet from my TV. I bought a 3/4" 5" threaded PVC pipe with 3/4" metal base plate and attached the plate with four screws to my ceiling then connected the antenna. (See picture) This allows total directional movement in plain view. Personally I would not mount the unit outdoors as I do not think it is tough enough to withstand the elements nor can you see what direction the antenna points.
