Glad to say good-bye to wet feet!
I purchased these boots to wear while I do pressure washing. Prior to using these, I just usually wore my normal work shoes (a pair of older running shoes) and would end up with my feet soaking wet for the entire day. This, in turn, would exacerbate my athlete's foot problem, which has a tendency to flare up when I get wet feet for a long period of time. A couple of my co-workers purchased boots similar to these, and I liked the idea. When I found these on amazon and saw how cheap they were, it was a no-brainer to go ahead with the purchase. I have used them several times, now and wet feet are no longer a problem on pressure wash jobs.On the negative side, the boots are heavy, clunky, and restrict my natural flow of motion. They definitely don't make climbing up and down ladders any easier, but the dry feet are a fair trade-off, in my opinion. I'm happy with my decision to purchase these.

These boots smelled up the whole house like a rubber factory
These boots smelled up the whole house like a rubber factory. They are extremely heavy as well. I had to put them out on the porch because of the rubber smell. My husband has tried them on and they fit, but he hasn't used them yet. May send these back as well, but you get what you pay for they were cheaply priced and cheaply made. I'm sure they won't leak though.I thought I was ordering just regular, lighter weight rubber rain boots, much like mine, which are light weight and easy on/off. Not the case, these bottoms are constructed with the heaviest rubber. Not what I thought I was ordering.

Really Great Boots
Update September 2018The Onguard boots have been great. However, two different sellers have sent be a different product in the last 2 recent re-order attempts. The incorrect item has been Dunlop Chesapeake 14" P/T (plain toe). The Dunlop are a very different boot. They may be ok, but I want what I order, not a substitute.-----These boots are amazing, especially when you consider the price. Are they a little heavy, I suppose, but for the level of protection it's worth it!I wore these almost all SUMMER long to do everything from mowing the lawn (riding mower), to digging trenches, to weed whacking and even a little bit of slogging through mud. They are very comfortable. They seem to run a little bit large. I wear an Adidas size 11 and these boots are by no means snug. But I'm ok with that because I generally wear socks with the boots (occasionally slip them on to run outside for a minute) and the extra space means plenty of room for winter socks and/or boot liners.I did not find them to be especially smelly. Maybe for a day, but I never felt like I had to put them outside to air out.The kick-off lugs are great. The tread is deep and releases mud readily. The rubber is really thick, which is probably why they weigh so much, but also why they give such good protection. They are lined with a thin knit material. The insole is comfortable and removable. I will post some photos to show some of these details. When I put these boots on to do yard work I feel pretty much impervious to anything below the knee. Sticks, prickly things, snakes, mud, sharp rocks, rats, stuff the weed whacker kicks up... bring it on. The rubber is firm, yet pliable, and did I mention how thick? After wearing these for a while I often feel that my feet are very vulnerable in anything else.Despite being black and rubber they don't get too hot. Now, if you leave these on the back porch in the sun and then put them on it will feel like a little foot sauna, but even then the heat rises and dissipates well out the top of the boot. No, the top of the boot does not hug your calf like a pair of wellies, but you'll also find that your feet are not swimming in a pool of their own sweat.Probably the only thing I wouldn't do in these boots is drive a car. They'd just get in the way, but driving the lawn tractor is fine. Oh, I probably also would not go swimming in them.If you need to get work done outside, or anywhere that's going to get messy, these are great boots for the job.

Disappointed
Was not the ongaurd boot I ordered. It's the brand of whom ever bought them out. It's a so so boot but nothing like the Ongaurd original boot. Ongaurd Was best rubber boots ever made plenty of support. These boots have no support at all.

Deez Boots
I bought the boots to primarily cut the grass in order to prevent verdant socks when cutting in sneakers. Even though I may look like a pud, I am content in knowing that it is a simple affair to slip into the boots, bring Honda-mulching doom to the new lawn growth and easily blast away all the carnage with the garden hose. My gladiator footwear is primed for battle the following week, looking fine. The boots aren't terribly heavy, somewhat true to size. Of course, they are spacious on the inside--I suspect that they may have birthed some baby boots at some point in time. They do stand at attention on their own in the garage. Wearing pants and having them fit inside the boots is a non-affair, although I must admit that below the knee, I am a bit svelte. They come with a light-weight insole which can easily be switched for something more comfortable if you plan on long shopping treks or a rigorous night of dirty dancing at the local country club, much to the chagrin of the stuffy older folk and parents of one long-wore-out-nicknamed young adult known as Baby.Yes, they do indeed smell like a petroleum-based refined product, although I do fancily hope that my boots were made from the resultant hydrocarbons of peak oil--simply for elitist reasons. For roughly $20, I have rarely bought such value, especially considering the cost of some of the alternatives."Stalking, walking in my big black boots" be the lyric that loops in my head when I rock these boots. Chyeah!

Great protection but WAY too heavy!
I bought these boots for my husband for multi-purpose... work in the garden and use as a rain boot. My husband LOVES the protection it offered on his first rainy day, but they are so heavy that his legs and back were hurting by the time he got home, and he had strained his Achilles. He also reports the fit is very large and made it hard to walk. We are hoping an insert will help. Half sizes would have been even better!
