We purchased this mower for my 22 month old son, who loves to watch us mow the lawn. I was worried that he would still prefer our real lawnmower in lieu of this toy (as most kids frequently do), but we were delighted to see otherwise. The mower arrived in the frustration free packaging (great for the environment as well) and was a simple install (all you have to do is click in the handlebars). My son then promptly proceeded to push the mower around for the rest of the day. Great features include the little gas tank (looks just like the real ones!), a open and close cap for the gas tank, a little pull for a lawnmower start up sound and keys and knobs that turn and click. It also has the popper in the middle that makes the pop sounds when you push it. Overall, this is a wonderful kid version of the lawnmower. Little Tikes did a great job with this one. It's well priced and such an awesome toy for the little lawnmower loving kid!

I purchased this (two actually, for twins) for my 3 1/2 boys for Easter. They loved playing with a really dilapidated old plastic one from my parents, which needed to get thrown out. I was unsure of paying so much for a little toy lawn mower, but the quality seems worth it. My boys love the popping noise the mower makes as they push it. The pull thing to "start" the motor turned out to be a big hit. And they'll stop in the middle of following their daddy just to twist and click the knobs on the handle. I thought they would look right past those, because they're more for younger kids. Wrong! Finally, the gas can is a great addition. It sits in place with some tension, so in theory it wouldn't fall off while being used....Assuming the user wishes to leave it in place. My boys never care enough to leave it on there. But its bright red color makes it very noticeable on our garage floor whenever they do decide to fill up their tanks! All in all, this is a great toy, and the price point does fit the quality. My 3 1/2 year old boys love it. Heck, our 9 and 7 year old neighbors love playing with it. You won't be disappointed.

My son got this for his first birthday. He wasn’t quite able to push it by himself then, but he really liked the buttons, the gas tank, and the pull string that “starts” the mower. Now at 18 months, he loves pushing it around the house and in the back yard. It’s a great product. My only warning is that a toddler really has to be able to walk unassisted before being able to push this on their own. It’s not at all designed to be a walker. If a kid leans on it for support it will topple over. I got this for a nephew. He's new to two and was on the cusp of walking. Since he's got an older brother which is 3, he's not quick to get up and move. He'll watch his brother going up, down and all around but wait till the coast is clear before trying to scoot. From the moment this toy was put together, my nephew was playing with the controls. Good thing he has an older brother to show him the ropes. The older one was yanking the cord while the younger one was turning the knobs. There was some small squabbling over who would get to run the mower first. The older one ran it all around the home for awhile before he was told to share it. Having this to push gave the birthday boy some confidence in walking. It was great to see the excitement he had in stabilizing himself while thinking, he's cleaning up the ground for us. This is almost always run on a wood floor. Since I gave this gift in the early fall, the kids were used to seeing the lawn care guy mowing their lawn. Every time they would see him, this toy would go zooming all around. Both the boys love it. During the holidays when having lots of kids of different ages over, there were many that wanted to yank the start cord or push and mow all around. The start cord has good tension strength so an adult could yank it also. Of course, don't yank it like a real mower. Both girls and boys played with this. It's a toy that doesn't require anything for use. ie batteries or power, yet offers hours of enjoyment. Putting the toy together took some finagling. There are parts that need to be adjusted together or shoved into the correct bracket. Also, there is a tag or cord that must be pulled out of a socket before use. Nothing too extreme. You can be up and running in about ten minutes with the right tools. I think a scissors and screwdriver is all that was needed.

Overall, my son and his friends (ages 6 mo-4 years) love this toy! We use it inside mostly. When outside, works better on the concrete than on our St. Augustine lawn. Pros: Well made. Easy to assemble. Looks nice. Gas cap is attached so can't be lost. Kids love the starter (makes sound) and switch/key even before they can stand well. Was a great price when I got it. Cons: My husband doesn't like that the gas can has a slot on the mower (but that makes it easier to not lose). The gas cap is tricky to close (even for adults). Also be aware that a baby needs to be somewhat stable walking for this to work--it will not hold them up like a walker (but younger babies have fun playing with the different parts).

Grandma didn't know her own strength when she pulled the starter cord hard -- it really vroooomed! Hahaha Our 2+ grandson can pull it and makes a lot less noise when he does it! 1 year old sister (who wants to do everything brother does) can pull it as well. They have another lawnmower that is much simpler than this one but, if they want, they can "mow the yard" at the same time. It has a gas cap that is attached. They have a toy gas can so that's fun. Sister likes the "balls" in the lawnmower--kind of like the corn popper toy. She started walking a month ago. I love the durable simple toys and this one is great. The 2+ year old has had an Amazon Fire since he was a year old and amazes me how he can do all those apps--progressively harder. But it's nice when he plays with hands on toys and uses his imagination and/or gets exercise.

I ordered this for my 11 month old grandson who has just started to walk independently. It arrived promptly and clicked together easily so he could use it immediately. It is sturdy, with bigger wheels that make it easier to push. He especially likes the little pull that "starts the engine" which makes noise. He isn't really old enough to understand the significance of the gas can yet. He likes playing with the controls near the handle, which click when turned. It is wide and glides smoothly. It does "tip up" if he tries to use the handle as support to get up (we have to put our foot on the base to hold it still because he's just started walking and holds on to things to get up.) He really likes the popping noise it makes when pushed. I'm glad I read the reviews for all the toy mowers and picked this one, because it's well made and appealing.

Now our grandchildren can help their Dad cut the grass.

Wir haben den Mäher für unseren Kleinen aufgrund der guten Bewertungen gekauft und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Der Rasenmäher ist gut verarbeitet (nichts steht ab, etc.). Auch die Farben sind klasse. Ein tolles Spielzeug, dass unserem Kleinen richtig Spaß macht und dabei sogar als netter Nebeneffekt pädagogisch durchaus wertvoll sein kann. ZUM RASENMÄHER: Der Mäher hat viele schöne Details: Den herausnehmbaren (aber geschlossenen) Benzinkanister, einen verschließbaren Öleinfüllstutzen, die Murmeln die (ohne Batterien) ein Fahrgeräusch erzeugen, eine Anlassschnur (die beim daran ziehen Motorengeräusch verursacht), einen knatternden Zündschlüssel sowie einen beweglichen Gashebel. Insgesamt ein tolles Produkt. Endlich kann unser Kleiner mir kräftig beim Mähen helfen. Das Springen der Murmeln beim Rollen ist zwar nicht unerträglich laut, ganz leise ist es allerdings auch nicht, so dass man vieleicht Sonntag morgens nicht gleich um 8 Uhr Rasen mähen sollte. :-) ZUR ALTERSANGABE: Auf der deutschen Amazon-Seite fehlt ein Hinweis. Auf der englischen steht ab 6 Monaten, was mir sehr ambitioniert erscheint. Auf der Homepage des Herstellers steht 18+ Monate. Das scheint mir durchaus passend. Meiner Meinung nach sollte das Kind allerdings in jedem Fall stabil selbstständig laufen können und den Mäher nicht als Gehhilfe verwenden müssen. Zwar hat der Mäher einen kleinen Umkippschutz (siehe Bild), dass er nicht sofort nach hinten kippt, aber bei zu viel Gewichtsverlagerung kippt er eben doch. FAZIT: Ein bisschen ärgerlich bei einem ansonsten wirklich tollen Produkt finde ich die Preispolitik. Dass die Produkte aus Amerika 1:1 umgerechnet werden, daran haben wir uns ja inzwischen gewöhnt. Doch dieser Mäher kostet mit 30 Euro sogar mehr als in Dollar (25 USD) [entspricht 22 Euro] oder Pfund (20 GBP) [entspricht 25 Euro]. Dennoch: Auch zum bezahlten Preis haben wir die Anschaffung nicht bereut - im Gegenteil: wir würden ihn wieder kaufen!

Achetée à mon petit garçon qui avait peur du bruit des tondeuses, je suis ravie. C'est un jouet de qualité, belles couleurs, solide. Bruyante mais c'est ce que je cherchais puisque maintenant, il trouve ça amusant de passer la tondeuse et de faire beaucoup de bruit ! Enfin, un bruit modéré puisque c'est les petites billes qui sont au milieu qui claquent quand la tondeuse roule.
