Rancilio Silvia M V6 Espresso Machine (Black - 2020 Version)

We had been wanting an espresso machine for years but wanted to wait until we could invest in one that would last us. This machine has been well worth the wait.First, I was VERY impressed with the packaging (and quick shipping). This thing was double boxed with foam padding around it. It was also covered in a plastic film to help protect it from being scratched.There is a bit of a learning curve to using this machine but once you find a good rhythm, the process is a breeze. Although I appreciate the instructions being simple, I do wish there was a bit more detail on the best way to use this machine. With that being said, Youtube has plenty of videos with helpful tips and tricks.I highly suggest purchasing a quality burr grinder to use with this. We have found that each bag of coffee we get needs to be ground slightly differently and that natural processed coffee seems to pull better than washed.The only downside, which is something I knew prior to purchasing this machine, is that it is a single boiler so you can not steam milk and pull a shot at the same time.Since the machine heats up a bit higher for steaming than it should be for pulling a shot, I've found that steaming the milk first and doing some "temperature surfing" has been relatively easy to do.I would definitely purchase this machine again.

Simple to use. Sturdy and solid. I am a confident home barista with this one.

Machine water tank arrived cracked on the bottom. Needed to buy replacemente.

Espresso taste as expected. Machine assembled terribly. Could not remove the drip tray. Allowed for too little coffee for a dual shot.

I've only used it for a month or so, but it works perfectly. Warms up in just a few minutes, and pulls a great shot of espresso. I only used the steam wand a few times and it worked fine also.
