So, after reading all the reviews about these "shorts", I decided to order up a couple of sizes. I normally wear a women's small in bike shorts and the like. Reading the reviews, it seemed like these shorts would be something akin to doll clothing, size-wise. Hence, I ordered the x-large. Well, they were waaaaaaay too big. I am 5'3", about 115 lbs. I'm thinking that the medium is my next option since I coulda fit another person in the xl! Oh, and they smell funny when taken out of the packaging. I'm sure that would go away once they were washed but it's a pretty strong odor. The padding did seem more than adequate, which is what I was looking for for an upcoming mountain biking vacation. Will probably re-order but doubt I'll receive them in time for the trip.

For those of you looking for a deal (and that is me); please save your money and put it towards a quality pair of biking shorts. If you actually ride (and I'm out on the road acouple of times per week); bite the bullet and invest in a VERY GOOD PAIR (that you can try on and actually feel) of biking shorts. I had looked at a pair of bike shorts (after many uncomfortable rides; I spin with a gel seat cover) at my local bike shop. They wanted $95 for them and they look similar (seat padding) to the ones pictured. These are NOT that quality, at all; they also run very large (and I ordered a small). The padding is the most important item with bike shorts followed by fit (so they stay where you need them to stay)...Yes the shipping was fast and efficient; but I wish I would have saved my money. I did go to Dick's Sporting goods and found a good pair of ladies bike shorts for around $60. Wish I would have done that in the beginning.

Thin weight to wear under pants or shorts; nice padding, but runs a size too small

I haven't used them yet but the gel seems to be a little thin and most of the padding is in the back - not in the front where I really need it. A bicyclist friend of mine suggested wearing them backwards.

I don't like to wear shorts because of varicose veins on my legs. Using these cycle briefs allows me to use my usual exercise capris and still receive the comfort on my spinning cycle. Love them.

I should go to local sports store and buy a better quality one. If you are looking for a comfortable one, save your money. The shipping took over a month, and I almost forgot the order.

This fit as expected (a little small) which is why I ordered a larger size. Really helps when riding my bike. Glad I have them.
