L'Oreal SUBLIME BRONZE Tinted Self-Tanning Lotion Medium Natural Tan 5 oz

not a fan of the sparkle, not sure why a bronzer needs glitter

I was trying to replace a great self tanning lotion that I bought several years ago. No amount of Googling helped to find an exact match so I ordered this item. I do not like the sparkly look and the lotion itself is a different texture too.

It took some practice to figure out the right amount to use for me, but overall this is the best (but also the first) tanning product I've ever used! I've used it both alone and mixed with lotion, and I find a 1-1 combination works quite well for me. It sinks in quickly and doesn't budge after about a half an hour. A single application lasted about 3-4 days on me, and I understand that repeated application makes it last longer. But watch out, like all other tanning products, this will make your knees look nasty. Watch the wrists and ankles too.I gave it four stars because I find the shimmer to be unnecessary. I get it- some people like the shimmer, and I kinda grew to like it as well. But, it's gone after a day and just seems like a waste to put it in there in the first place. Plus, its short staying power made me feel like I was being teased with shimmer. Nice for the time being, but ultimately disappointing. Oh, and the smell is faint and pleasant!Overall a solid product. I will stick with this for now.

I bought this to just get a light tanned look since I can no longer sit in the sun. It showed up and I wouldn't dare go out in public with this on my face. It has glitter in it (no mention of that in the ad copy) and reeks of sickening perfume. I've been scrubbing my hands and face to try to get rid of the stench. Worst of all, they don't take returns. So I'm stuck with this tube of junk I'll never use and I'm out all of my $$

This is a good product and performs as advertised. I have used it in the past and it works fine. It gives a tan that is a bit darker than medium and you have to be careful to use just a small amount. This particular tube had and issue with the lid closure being difficult to pry loose so I stored it on its side without closing the lid completely. Still, it meets my needs and I would buy it again. Loreal has a different version of the same product that gives a true medium tan and is my product of preference when I can get it.
