Q: How do you connect your cable box and cord to the stand do you need a longer cable connection and extension cord for the TV?

The cables go along the 2 sections of the arm inside a cable conduit. It is not easy to see in the images, but that conduit is a "channel" that easily snaps onto the arms' sections to hide the cables. The arm's length from the base to the monitor bracket plate is 64", so how long the cable needs to depends on distance between you cable box and the arm's base. So, if the cable box is affixed next to the base of the arm (on the wall) the cables should be at least 70", so to be safe, I would aim at 70 " or above. On the second "thumbnail" image to the right of the main image in the Amazon listing you will see a 2 of these arms on each side of a bed. On the one on the right you will see that the arm is plugged to the wall and also to a device (box) next to the base. The plug that goes to the wall must be about 100" long, approx. No, we do not have a compatible keyboard and mouse tray. They do exist, though. Just search for VESA Keyboard tray with mouse tray. These mount on the same monitor bracket, together with the monitor. IMPORTANT NOTE: I would suggest an aluminum one because please bear in mind that this arm work for weights attached to the VESA bracket ranging from 12 - 18 lbs. Therefore, the TOTAL weight you attach to the VESA mount (monitor + keyboard tray/mouse tray + keyboard itself) will have to be between 12 - 18 lbs. . If it is heavier, the monitor/keyboard combo will sag: it not stay in place where you want it.

Q: Is it spring loaded? Wondering if it will work with ipad?

It is indeed spring loaded, designed to work with devices (monitors or others) weighing between 12 and 18 lbs. Your ipad is lighter, so you would have to add weight to the bracket or the ipad to bring it up to ideally 14 lbs. If you don't, then the springs will pull the iPad back up, since it is too light for the springs included.

Very solid, heavy. Great product. Installed it into a concrete block wall. I don't know how well it would work trying to install it on an interior wall using only a single stud.
