In 1972, henna was re-introduced to the consumer with amazing success. What had once been discarded as a primitive hair coloring process was once again a viable force in the beauty field. Fear over chemical side effects as well as a growing interest in healthy products helped to push henna into the limelight again, but the true leader of what became known as the "Henna Revolution" was and still is AVIGAL HENNA. New shrubs of the Lawsonia plant were discovered and developed, which gave life to different colors and shade gradations. AVIGAL HENNA took these shrubs and created a whole new look -- natural, vibrant highlights for every type of hair -- permed, bleached, tinted or virgin. The basic difference between Avigal Henna and other hennas on the market is that Avigal Henna is 100% pure henna made from the finest quality henna available. Avigal Henna is the safest and most effective way to color and condition the hair. Simply add hot water to the henna powder, mix well and apply. Follow the time specified on the enclosed instruction sheet. If you use an external heat source, you can cut the processing time by 30%. PERMED HAIR? You can apply Avigal Henna over permed hair without worry. In fact, Avigal Henna will lock in the perm, making the curl last longer. If you want to perm after a henna application, perm as usual and then reapply henna since the chemicals in the perm will strip the henna color from the hair. GREY HAIR? Avigal Henna has developed 6 shades for single process use on grey hair: Natural, Hazel, Topaz, Champagne, Strawberry Blonde and Red. Each may be applied directly onto grey or graying hair for highlights ranging from extraordinary shine to rich red. Grey hair can also be darkened by the double process method.

Strawberry Blonde or better
The product worked very well. In spite of being quite messy to work with, my lady companion was very pleased with the results. I thought, my opinion only, that it would take much more massaging of the hair to distribute the color closer to the scalp. The exterior looked quite well although a bit darker than was expected but overall very good color with fair to good distribution of color.

Perfect
I use strawberry blonde and what I got. I have used this brand for years and it works perfectly. Rainbow makes me itch and Avigale does not itch or cause the scalp have trauma. I will always use this brand.

Please stop using chemicals on your hair
HelloI have been using this product for YEARS. I even put the natural HENNA on my children's hair and they had the shiniest hair on the playground.I had strawberry blonde hair as a child and now it is brown and gray sprinkled in. I do not mind the gray at all but, natural red heads never gone all gray, why I do not know why. This is the only product I know of that allows me to be VERY CLOSE to my natural shade and cause no harm to my hair as it is not a chemical. It looks sooooooooo natural.I recommend this product on a scale of 1 to 10 a...................12For people who do not need color to cover gray can use the natural. The shine is FABULOUS.

Best Henna
I have used Henna for several years. I am a natural red-head, who is now turning white, and the Henna I had always used. was discontinued. I tried this and it is even better than the previous one. I mix it with a little neutral and the color is gorgeous!

RED henna - not hazel
the package I was sent was labeled "Hazel" - a shade I've used for years - but it wasn't - it's straight-up red henna. result is bright orange, most definitely not a subtle light blonde.

Avigal Henna
I use Avigal Henna for many years and have selected it mainly because it is a natural product, doesn't damage the hair, and the hair looks good after aplying it. I am very satisfied with the product.

Great for covering gray hair
I have used henna for years to cover my gray hair and Avigal is the best brand I have found. I have never colored my hair with chemicals, only henna. I do not have a lot of gray hair so it comes out looking like highlights. It is a great conditioner for the hair also.
