Trader Joe's Himalayan Pink Salt Crystals with Built in Grinder 4.5 Oz, (2-Pack)

I hardly ever use salt on my food. I do; however, use salt when I am cooking something, for seasoning. I saw this Himalayan pink salt at a friend's house last week and tried it on my salad. It is really clean and pure tasting. I have many Himalayan lamps all around my house, and I know they have cleansing properties to them. I never though of the salt, though. Also, it will be great to use the salt in bath water with a few drops of essential oils. I was in a bad car wreck earlier this year, and soaking in a hot bath with the salt will be helpful for my injuries. There are many benefits to eating and using this salt for other things, such as preventing muscle cramps, hydration both inside and out of the cells, strengthens bones, lowers blood pressure, along with many other things. You can look it up on the internet for other benefits, as well. I look forward to it! The package came two days after I ordered it with Amazon Prime. Everything was packaged securely, and the individual salt bottles are safety sealed, as well. This is Trader Joe's brand of Himalayan salt, and the top of the bottle has a built in grinder. This will be very handy for my husband, too. He loves to make crock pot meals, and this salt will definitely enhance his cooking. If you are going to use salt, you might as well use one with healthy benefits. Being able to use it in other ways than just for your food, is definitely worth the price you pay for this salt. I bought the two pack because there was a discount. It may take us a while to run out, but this is the only salt we will use from here on out. I wish I would have starting using this pink Himalayan salt crystals when I bought my salt lamps. I was unaware of all of the wonderful benefits that could help me by eating or soaking with the crystals. I just loved the look of the lamps. They make a soft soothing night glow in my living room and also as a cool night light. The pink Himalayan salt comes from the mountains of the Himalayas and is beneficial in so many ways. I was talking to a friend about the different ways we use the salt. Soaking in a hot bath is amazing as the salts dissolve in the water and the trace minerals nourish each cell in your body. From salt! Not table salt, though...it is stripped of its natural minerals and also bleached. It reduces muscle cramps by improving minerals and much needed hydration. The biggest bonus to using this pink salt is that it is AFFORDABLE! As we all know, so many times the healthier the product, the more expensive it is. It's a decent grinder, the problem is the grinder does not have adequate threads to keep it on the bottle. I have ruined several meals because the top came loose from the bottle, spilling the contents from the bottle into my food, ruining the meal completely. I thought it was just a defective grinder top, so opened the other bottle, same problem. I even made sure I was turning it the correct direction and NOT loosening it.My advice is DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT!

The grinder is easy to operate. I love how finely it grinds the salt.

I was recently told that not using any salt is not best. I was told with High blood pressure to use Pink Salt. So glad I did my food taste so much better

One of them arrived broken.

I started using sea salt after my doctor told me he might have to put me on blood pressure medication. I love salt and found that sea salt is better for you and after further research- the best kind of sea salt is the Pink Himalayan salt crystals because there are minerals in it therefore it has some healing properties. As with anything use with moderation- the great thing about this product- you don't need much and it holds it's flavor. When I scramble eggs- I usually season w/salt & pepper- and after cooking, I can't taste the salt. When I used these crystals- not only did I taste the salt- it wasn't overwhelming....it was so flavorful and needed no additional seasoning.

Not sure if this is normal, but I had put a bit of the salt in cup of hot water and noticed that the salt disintegrated, but pink pebbles ( sediment maybe?) sunk to the bottom. I've never had pink salt do that before,and I thought it odd. I dont want my family or friends crunching on pebbles when I cook for them.

Best Pink salt this grinder is sturdy and holds alot. It's cheaper at Trader Joe's, but avoiding that line is worth this upcharge
