This is a great tester, i have used it in quite a few applications and it hasn't failed me yet. It comes well packed in a foam case and a sturdy box. A must have for anybody who owns a PA system, Hi-Fi or computer.

I'm an audio engineer who often needs to confirm cables in the field and the PCT-40 does just about everything that I need it to do on the modern stage or in a modern studio. The RJ-45 option is what sold me since so many situations I'm in these days have an Ethernet cable somewhere in the system. The only format that you might find missing is the 3.5mm (1/8 inch) connector but in my gig bag, I carry several 1/4" TRS to 1/8" adapters for headphones to exactly cover this so it's a super small thing to not have natively.The LEDs are nice and bright, and the knob sits on a standard-sized split-shaft, so it's easy to replace the knob if you don't like the one provided. I added a vintage looking "chicken head" knob because I had one lying around the shop and it made it look cooler.The unit feels totally solid, with a nice heft to it, without being too heavy. I don't worry about it banging around on anything because it's so rugged.The 9v battery is a tight fit, which is good so that it's not slamming around inside the unit during transport, so be aware that some force is needed to get it into the slot.I'm recommending this to my students as a great thing to keep in their gig bags.

For the price, this one is a no-brainer for any electronics shop. This makes checking cables of most kinds a breeze! Working on amps, guitar pick-ups, mics and related cables allows you to rule out cable issues quickly and certainly! Also the ethernet cable tester on this is great, here's why. Most ethernet cable testers go through an automated test of each of the 8 conductors, quickly. If you spot a fault, you need to time the pressing of the hold button to actually see which conductor(s) are showing fault. With the Pyle, you plug in the cable and manually rotate through all of the conductors checking each one and moving on. This is fantastic, and ultimately saves time. A really good unit, solid and heavy feeling, metal construction, easy to use and an absolute must for any bench!

excellent appareil qui me rend beaucoup de services doté des derniers connecteurs RJ45, pour les petits jacks 3,5 j' incère un réducteur 6,35/3,5 mâle femelle; je recommande excellent rapport qualité prix.
