Madden Girl Women's Cactuss Boot

these boots are to die for! they came so quick, 1st star. they fit as expected if not, there's even some room for thick winter socks, 2nd & 3rd star. I normally wear an 8 1/2 in boots for thick socks but I noticed other comments about running a bit big so I got an 8. the 8 fit both my big feet & the thick fuzzy socks. I wore these socks on a field trip to a farm to pick pumpkins (I work in a daycare) these boots got so dirty & scratched up. I went home right after work to attempt to save them & believe it or not, the dirty AND the scratches came right off *MAGIC* 4th star. lastly, I wore these boots on another field trip to the izod center & it happened to be pouring that day. these boots I think are water proof. although I did not completely submerge my foot in a water puddle, I walked thru various puddles of water & can out with dry cold feet. 5th star. to be completely honest the only thing I didn't like about these boots is that they aren't regular brown like other boots, they look faded almost. not really like a dark brown but kind of like a polland color on top of the brown. despite that, this color slightly goes away showing the brown more after usage. forgetting the one bad thing, these boots look cute with leggings or jeans. they could be worn with anything really. my favorite way to style these boots is to wear peek a boo white leg warmers with them. the leg warmers show just a bit at the top of the boots creating the ultimate cute & comfy look. bottom line, I think these boots are completely worth it.

I took one star off because for faux leather they are a bit pricey.I was hesitant because I have muscular calves, and sometimes boots fit too tightly around them, and I wanted these to be looser.So I will put in this review what I wish EVERYONE would put in their review...MEASUREMENTS!!My calf at its widest is 15.5 inches. The boot at calf is 16 inches. The boot at top opening is 18 inches.These hit right below my knee, I'm 5'9" and from the top of my foot to bottom of my knee is 14 inches. Top of boot foot to top of boot is 15 inches. The material is soft so they slouch a bit around the ankles.I ordered a size 11 because that's what I normally wear in Madden, but these are a little big in the foot part. I'll probably put in an insole because while they're not 'uncomfortable' they're not cushy.Good, casual boots that I would never trust myself riding in, or doing any sort of labor. But that's not why I bought them so it's OK.

Like my other Madden boots, the zipper is in the back, and does not go down far enough to get the boots on comfortably. The back zipper does not aid in putting the boots on, but it does look cool. When I first tried them on I thought they were not going to fit, and was about ready to put them back in the box, when I gave it one more tremendous painful shove and my foot went in. I wear a 6 to 6.5, and usually there is some wiggle room in a 6.5 for me. They fit pretty much as expected, but the zipper presses on the back of my ankle, and there are a couple of spots that press on the sides of my ankle. I found the same thing in the Madden motorcycle boots (Lilith) I'd purchased at the same time. Hoping that will lessen as I wear them. Love the red in the back. The brown color looks a bit more gray than light brown, but it is a unique shade of light brown.

These boots are pretty comfy. I received them today & have not had problem's with them at this point. The boot's are actually adjustable not fake looking adjust able like many I have seen.They are easy to put on. I had on a slight boot cut jean on. They are a bit lighter color in person, most thing's are a slight diff. from online to in person. So I am happy that there was only a slight difference from the online look to the in person look. I live in Maine & there was a storm tonight I put the boots on quick & left that was my try on & had them on for hours. Happy to report I was not slick sliding every where :) I would of course put on a thicker sock & I have the room to do so. Which is great to hear because I have a bit of a hard time finding something wide enough but sleek & stylish enough to wear out. I rate it a 4 only because I have not test worn them more.

I almost returned these boots. I've 5'9" and they fall an inch or so below the knee, which was higher than I thought I wanted. They ankle area is also a little slouchy, which again I wasn't sure I wanted. I'm a big fan of Frye boots but too cheap to purchase them myself but that was the look I wanted. Anyway, I was going to return them and had brought them to work to use one of our boxes to send them back. I decided I'd give them one last try on and walked around the office to see if I was certain I didn't want them. Everyone LOVED them. They were also surprising comfy once I actually spent some time in them. I'm glad I went against returning them because they really are adorable. I've worn them to a casual wedding with a floral dress and cardigan, and over some skinny jeans. I love the zipper detail on the back. Very cute boots, I'm glad I went outside by comfort level.

Really like these boots! I purchased the black(ish) ones a little less than a year ago. The buckle flaps are now permanently bent and they have seemed to fade over time, but other than that they have held up quite well. When I received them the color was pretty close to the picture, maybe a little more grey. They are pretty flat so there is not much support which is not an issue for me, but may be for some people. Also, the sizing was accurate and since I have somewhat wider feet they did end up stretching a little bit in the width to fit my feet even better after wearing them for a while. The width for the calf part (the top) was also wider than it seems in the picture, so they ended up being on the looser side instead of fitting snug around my calf. Will most likely purchase a new pair to replace these very soon.
