Amazing relief for chronic lower back pain
I was sceptical about buying this belt only because I didn't believe that it would provide the support that I need for my chronic lower back pain. I ordered it on a Monday morning and it arrived on Thursday afternoon - prompt delivery! The belt is quite slim so when you wear it, it disguises very well. I wore it to work and it took a bit of time to warm up because I am naturally a very cold person. When my body temperature warmed up, I could feel the heat radiating from the belt into the sore area within my back. It was very comforting and provided the relief that I needed. At one point I had to take the belt off because I felt that it was burning against my skin - but it wasn't burning it at all, it just gave off a lot of heat which takes a bit of getting used to.I definitely would recommend this product and have done so already to my work colleagues. It is amazing value, does what is says and really is what I would say life saving. I suffer from lower back pain following a lumbar puncture and this product has provided the relief I need - thank you!

Wow it actually works - if you have enough static electricity in your system
I was very sceptical when I ordered this as I couldn't see how magnets would heat my back but having fallen down a flight of bare wooden stairs in November and damaging my Coccyx and Sacroilliac I was prepared to try anything as pain killers just don't work. The first time I used it I put it around my back and waited, 40 minutes later and nothing had happened other than I was starting to feel an uncomfortable scratchy sensation on my back and tummy. I gave it another 5 minutes and was about to take it off when my back started to feel warm, I couldn't take the irritation against my tummy any longer so I went and got a thick sheet of kitchen towel and put that between the belt and my tummy - why on earth did they put more magnets at the front makes no sense at all. While all this was going on my back was starting to get warmer until it reached the point where I couldn't stand it any more. All in all I had the belt on for just over an hour, 15 minutes of which it was red hot and getting hotter. But the surprise came when I took it off as my back stayed internally heated for a good 20-30 minutes. It seems your system has to get used to these things because the more I use it the faster it heats up, so I can now put it on and am hot within 5-10 minutes and if I use it soon after coming out of the shower it's faster still. However I got my husband to try it as he has back problems and all he got even after an hour or more was the irritation but absolutely no sensation of heat so it certainly doesn't seem to work for everyone. After a conversation with a friend who also uses magnet therapy we came to the conclusion that it may just have something to so with negative ions and static electricity.I have far too much static as a result I cannot wear nylon, can make some types of watches go wrong, skirts ride up or cling around my legs, I have been known to blow microchips and I give electric shocks to friends, family and pets regardless of what I wear or the soles of my shoes and as this shows the belt works if anything a bit too well for me as it doesn't have an off switch so I just keep getting hotter. My friend has similar static energy problems and magnet therapy also works for her but both of our partners never have static electricity problems unless we cause them and the belt or other forms of magnet therapy have little or no effect on either of them.It would be really interesting to find out if this is true of all of the people who have had success or failure with these belts

Effective, bargain.
I did my lower back in a couple of years ago, after years of thinking it happened to other people! These support belts effectively stabilise your lower back and offer discreet support under clothing when your back starts to play up. This belt really does do the magic heat up thing, no idea how but it works. Well made and a bargain at the price.

Brilliant back pain relief!
Brilliant! Really does the job. It's the best belt I've ever worn both for comfort and for easing my chronic back pain. I've bought another for my wife who also suffers with back pain.

Hotter than a chilli
So, many of you are thinking “How does this work?”, and this is where the scientific part comes in. The belt contains neodymium magnets, which create a magnetic field when the belt is worn. Iron in our blood is attracted to the magnetic field, so the blood flows to the target area. Far Infrared rays from the tourmaline cause a thermal reaction in your skin through micro-vibration of water molecules and elevates the tissue temperature.Okay, it sounds like Stephen Hawking, but it’s true.So why does the belt work for some, but not others? I guess the same way that acupuncture doesn’t work for everyone. (Some argue that acupuncture works purely because blood is being drawn to the area in which the needle has pierced the skin). Likewise, why some people praise the ‘healing powers’ of natural stones/crystals.I found ‘medium’ to be the right size for me (32” waist). It can be adjusted slightly by repositioning the ‘webbing’ straps on either side. Both the webbing straps and the belt itself fasten by means of strong Velcro. The time it takes to feel the heat varies from one person to the next, so please persevere. Using a fabric freshener spray to slightly dampen the belt, I felt the effects within 6/7 minutes. (With a belt from another manufacturer, it was some 20 minutes before there was anything).Unfortunately, it did feel as though my skin was burning at one stage and even after removing the belt my skin felt hot for a good 10 minutes. There also seemed to be a slight skin rash and the area was red – similar to sunburn. I’ve personally found it better not to have it in direct contact with my skin (i.e., over a t-shirt) because although it takes longer to feel the effects (around 30 minutes), it’s a far more bearable heat. The accompanying instructions do tell you to build up your resistance to this – in other words, only wear for a short while to start off with, then for longer periods thereafter. At the end of the day, it does what it says on the tin – it’s just a pity that it is perhaps a bit too ‘powerful’.
