Stylish and innovative, the FlashPoint is perfect for general use and specifically designed for use in the outdoors whether it is climbing, hiking, camping, biking, etc... The SafeSpin open/close technology allows one to deploy the blade without having to place their hand or fingers near the blade. The slide lock securely locks the blade open and closed for ultimate safety. As a bonus, this knife incorporates into the handle a bottle opener and carabineer clip. Overall this knife is safe and easy and will be a great asset on your next outdoor excursion.

Very impressed with this highly functional, very smartly designed EDC knife
Solidly constructed, there is nothing loose, no wobble between the blade and body. It’s very solid almost like a solid piece of metal when open. The blade is not an assisted opener, but it opens very smoothly and easily. Quickly broken in, with some practice you can sling it open or closed, only holding the safety and a flick of the wrist. The carabiner is a main feature for me. It has a nice pocket clip, but the carabiner is what I find myself using now, simply clipping to a belt loop. It's very easily accessible this way and it quickly becomes natural to pull it off and open the knife. Jimping around the base of the blade aids in opening and closing, my thumb does not slip. I find myself putting my little finger in the carabiner for a very solid grip and leverage when opening/closing while holding the safety. It just comes naturally and makes this feel much more of a sure grip/ easy open than some other thumb open lock blades I've had. This is easily a one handed opener. To compare to my Buck 110, the weight is about half (213g, 110 vs 108g, 770) and just over a half inch shorter. The blade came extremely sharp out of the box, sharper than a Buck skinning knife I bought at the same time. I've been very pleased with the shape of the blade as well, it feels strong in its design. Overall, a very solid and highly functional knife worthy of having with you every day. Since buying it I've rarely carried any of my other usual knives. Made in the USA is preferred, but this is an example of something made in China that was made the right way and not simply taking a cheap route like some products out there.

Sharp, easy open, and tough.
I actually use this as my emergency knife for cutting rope and other things in the outdoors. I think it could cut its way out of anything. It is very easy to open and close with one hand, which is what I was going for. No point in having an emergency knife that you have to struggle to open when one of you hands is busy doing something else, and I don't like knives that do not close. There are a lot of tiny knives on the market specifically made for attaching to a harness for emergency use, but all of my friends with those knives asked to borrow mine because it is so much sharper. I prefer a mixture of straight and serrated blade, although with such a sharp tip, you need to be careful. Cuts easily through webbing, rope, cloth, rubber, and probably animal hide. The "carabiner" inclusion at the end does not open wide, probably not more than 0.25". It will not fit on the gear loop of my harness where it is covered in plastic, but it will fit on a loop that does not have that covering.

Good All Arounder for R. Handed People
I don’t understand the people that say this knife is flimsy. It’s not. It is solid, opens easily, the blade locks firmly with zero play, it is comfortable to hold. The handle is anodized billet aluminum with recessed plastic inserts for enhanced grip. It fits comfortably in my jeans pocket to the point I don’t even know it’s there. My only criticism is it is not easy to open single-handedly with your left hand. So if you are a lefty you may not like it so much. That and the stainless blade is a bit soft. Which can be good and bad. Good because the blade isn’t brittle, bad because in use it can be nicked and/or lose its razor sharpness. All blades are a compromise so I don’t see this last comment as a negative. Just resharpen it from time to time if necessary. Bottom line: This is a very good all around pocket knife that is well made, solid, stylish and a value for the money.

Great knife for about the house.
Very easy to open with one hand. Strong blade. The serrations work well when need extra help cutting through something tough. Feels good in hand. Weight distribution is comfortable. Perfect design for a utility knife. I purchased more than one so as to always have one ready about the house. I keep one in kitchen to keep kitchen knives from being used improperly to open boxes which would damage their blades and put users at risk of injury from a blade snapping off. This Buck knife opens cardboard boxes with ease for me. I also use it to cut large boxes into small pieces for the recycling bin. Please do NOT try to open plastic clam-shell packaging with this or any knife - way to dangerous according to ER statistics. For that I have found that sheet metal sheers work best for me when used with care and respect for the danger of opening plastic clam-shell packaging.
