Heinz Tomato Ketchup with Fiery Chilli 4x255g

There was a period when you could find chilli in stacks of products – now (for e.g.) if you want Haywards Hot and Spicy pickled onions they’re no longer to be found in Supermarket stores, although thankfully they’re available through Amazon – similarly my all-time favourite tomato sauce – “Heinz fiery chilli” has disappeared from the shelves too, but can be found as a multi-pack here. Nothing else packs the punch that this nectar provides. Sadly the 400ml size no longer seems to be available. If any of you still have a pack – don’t throw the bottle away when you use all the sauce up!The squirt-lid of the small 255g size has a hole so large that it’s difficult to regulate the flow, consequently it spurges everywhere and you use far more on your food than you want. I imagine it’s intentional, so that you’re forced to replenish your bottles more frequently. My reasoning for this is that the squirt-lid hole of the 400ml size is much smaller and you can regulate the flow precisely, wasting far less.I carefully pour the contents of the 255g bottle into the larger receptacle, then, (since this stuff will likely be completely unavailable eventually), use a sharp knife and cut a “belly flap” out of the bottle, scooping out the residue with a spoon and carefully dropping it into the neck of the 400ml pack. There’s virtually no waste this way. It only takes a few minutes to do and you then have a controllable source.If you don’t have a 400ml bottle of chilli tomato sauce, you likely have other large sauce bottles in your home. Check the squirt-lid holes and find something you can decant these 255g bottles into. Regain control and save money!

I love the awesome kick you get from this Heinz ketchup. Unfortunately, none of the supermarkets seem to sell it any more. I was delighted to find it on Amazon. But the sell by date is very short indeed. I bought it in September 2022 and expiry is November 2022, just a couple of months. I'm not too fussed by sell by dates on products like this but if you are, check before purchase. Otherwise a great buy that will satisfy my need for a good while.

Don’t expect this to give a hot flavour

Always struggle to find this amazing product locally, loved by the whole household just as a ketchup or substitute pizza base in baked beans it’s very versatile.

I love this chilli ketchup! It is my favourite ever! I bought a few from this seller and its quality (in terms of taste and flavour) is great. The price has gone up lately but I guess given the current climat, it is to be expected. Would recommend!

Impossible to buy in the shops as discontinued

There's more heat in regular tomato sauce than this stuff. Rubbish!

Glad to be able to buy this, even at inflated price. Shame it's not now stocked by the major supermarkets.Four bottles will last us a year. Recommend it for similar fans. Good time to enjoy simple pleasures..
