Decent for the price
I find this to be a decent product. It works as advertised and is a great dry fire tool. I got the .380 version hoping to use it for 9mm as well and am happy to report that it fits and functions in both my Taurus Curve and my Glock 17 G4. I do think it's a little janky that G-sight does not include the full app with the purchase, but the unit will work with a variety of third party apps that use red laser ammo. My only criticism of the product itself is that, like others, mine does seem to strike a smidge high and right to my point of aim. I have tried rotating the cartridge and this seems to have no effect, so i'm assuming it has to do with how it seats in the chamber. It does, however, strike the same location consistantly, so I don't find it to be a deal breaker, just a bit annoying. After all, a dry fire laser is not meant for refining accurate aim as it cannot simulate real world bullet drop. It does, however, do it's duty of allowing me the feed back necessary to know if i'm being consistent and steady in my trigger pull quite well. Overall for the cheap price of $30, it's not really a bad product. So far I have about 400 shots on it with no problems. Will update in the future if I run into any issues with longevity and durability.

Precise, but not accurate - at least in my experiance
I've played with my G-Sight training laser for a couple days now, and have a few hours of dry firing with it at this point. It's still operating, so I have faith that it'll last awhile. However, I have used it in two guns (9mm Shield, LCP II, but will also try out my Sig p238 and update this review if it performs differently), and it shoots consistently high in both of them (~1" for every 3 yards from the target). I have shot these guns thousands of times with real ammo and I'm well aware of their point of impact. I've rotated the round inside the chamber, and no matter it's orientation, it shoots high (it's precise, if not accurate). I can only guess it has something to do with the rear o-ring not fitting entirely in the chamber, tilting the laser round up a bit. Because it's precise, it still works well for various types of practice, so it's not a big deal. However, the lack of accuracy makes this "It's ok", rather than "I love it", and I wish it was something I understood before I ordered it.Maybe I'm doing something wrong... If so, please fill me in on how to make it more accurate.ETA (5/19/18): Tried this in my p226 and it was exactly on zero/poa.

Great training tool, very addictive with the iTarget Pro app
Love this product, only complaint is that the front o-ring comes off when I take it out pretty reliably every time so I have to be careful not to lose it. I'll be ordering spares for when I do eventually lose it.One side note: Not holding this against the product because it's not meant for this, but for everyone who says the .380 works in the 9mm, mine didn't. I used it in my Ruger SR9c and it either didn't work at all or was fully turned on (not momentary) when I pulled it out a tiny bit to have my firing pin contact the laser unit.I'd recommend the iTarget training app though, has an actual shot timer. Gsight's shot timer isn't really, and the paid unlimited app just makes it so you don't have to reset the target after 10 shots. Not worth the $5 there.

Lasted 2 months. Striker pad wore out. I've emailed G-Sight. Let's see if they help.
I have this in a 9mm Walther Q5 coupled with a red-dot sight. In a darkened room, pointing at a blank wall, I noticed that the laser dot was hitting to the right of where the red-dot showed. I had not yet fired with the red-dot and hence it was not aligned. With this laser cartridge I was able to do so within 5 minutes without using any ammo or even the phone app. I didn't even have to hold the pistol very steady and didn't have to aim at anything. On the negative side, the ad here on Amazon states that it will work with Android 6 which should include my Samsung A3. However, on the G-Sight web site it states that not all Android phones will work and mine is on their list as incompatible. So I can either buy a new phone (not an option) or use my wife's.Also, I notice that the aim point wanders a bit. Again, with the red-dot, the laser dot is within about ½" at 10 feet but not consistently in the same place. Not a deal breaker since that's way beyond my ability anyway but it's a bit surprising considering the o-rings used for centering the device.Bottom line: even without the phone app I'm having a blast.

I am glad I did and it works perfectly in my 9mm ...
I bought this to use in my 9mm after reading reviews on the 9mm training cartridge pointing out some difficulty people were having getting the 9mm unit to fit properly. I am glad I did and it works perfectly in my 9mm compact. My range performance has improved because of the practice I have done with this. If you have some technique issues they are very visible when you see the laser streak when you pull the trigger. You just cannot see the streaking effect when you are punching holes in paper at the range. I like it enough that I'm getting one for my son for Christmas. I probably have 1000+ shots with it and I am still on the original batteries. I loaded the training app but that app keeps crashing. Don't know if it is my phone or the app causing the problem.

Buy it, NOW!
Love it! I bought the laserlyte training set that comes with the two round targets and the fake blue gun. That is spendy and my opinion sucks. This lets you train with your actual gun. That is HUGE! Yes, you have to manually reset the trigger each time but that is good practice for malfunctions, right? You also get the mobile app that lets you use a paper target on the wall to train. I am addicted to that app. My accuracy has gone way up. Most valuable training tool on the market. PERIOD!Yes, this fits in a 9mm and a 38spl/357mag. This is the correct size for the S&W 9mm M&P Shield

If you don't have one of these...GET ONE! It is the best training aid you can own and will take your dry fire practice to a whole new level! I have saved a TON of money on ammo and time spent driving to the range. I use it every night to practice various skills in my own home. The only thing I don't like is the "crippled" version of the smart phone app they offer as a download. If you want a real working version you have to pay $5 and to get an even better version is five bucks more! I found a perfectly useful dryfire app called iDryFire on Google play for 99 cents that works fine with this or any laser cartridge.
