I have a condensate pump for my HVAC unit, and it pumps up and across the ceiling of the basement before coming back down and tapping into the PVC drain or sewage line. I also have a larger dehumidifier that I put a small pump in, and tapped into the tubing for the HVAC. Because they both pump up, I didn't want the water to drain into the dehumidifier (or vice versa), and these prevented that by installing one instead of the Y fitting. I'd definitely get it again. Review: When used with appropriate size tubing, the connectors should provide good air and water seals. - The 36Pcs set of Plastic Hose Barb Fittings Assortment with Check valves, L Fittings, Y Fittings, one-way connectors is a nice general-purpose assortment of connectors of four sizes in one multicompartment box. The individual connectors are sturdy and well manufactured with minimal mold ridges on the connector ends. The storage box is not crowded so it's easy to close after the connectors are examined. The check-valves appear to be spring loaded and perform well with even a little back pressure. There are two of each type and size connector except for the one-way connectors for which there are three of each size. I checked several of the connectors with a micrometer and with actual vinal tubing and feel the flared connectors will provide good air and water seals. Although I've not yet used any of the connectors for an in-service connection, I believe they will perform well when installed when needed.
