Hello. Thank you for the question. As you know - fructose is commonly found in sweeteners like high "fructose" corn syrup - while fructans are commonly found in grains and certain vegetables. and certain legumes. A fructan is a type of carbohydrate and has many known health benefits - but can cause some digestive issues like bloating, and other GI symptoms. ENU does NOT contain any fructose in the primary sweetener - tapioca syrup, which is derived from a starch (not a grain), so tapioca would not contain any fructans either. ENU does contain a small amount of dietary fiber, but most people have found that they do not experience any bloating or other GI symptoms at all when using ENU shakes. i hope this answer if helpful to you.
