You "knead" this massager!
I've waited to post a review because I wanted to make sure this massager didn't break on me first thing. It took me awhile to decide to buy this item, but I'm glad I did. First, let me say, this item is heavy. If you have trouble lifting things then it should be put in one chair and left there. I happen to move mine around, and mostly gets used while I sit on the couch. It is easy to set up and the remote works great. The kneading mode is fantastic and has worked out several knots. A small warning, it does give you lots of pressure. If you are sensitive then you will have to put a towel between you and the knobs, or something soft, or, just sit away from it a little bit. I am 5'6 and although it reaches my lower back up to my neck, if I want it to really focus on a specific region, I either scoot myself up for it reach the lower back, or I set the massager up very straight to reach my neck. This is not an issue for me, but may be something to consider when buying this product - you have to adjust yourself to get the best massage possible. The heat component works fine, but took a little time to warm up, it's not instantaneous. That tap feature is fine, I just don't really use this feature, and the rolling feature is good. You can adjust the width for the rolling which is nice. Overall, I would not hesitate to buy this product again.

Well worth the price
This product performed exactly as expected. My husband and I were looking into massage cushions after experiencing the one my dad bought my mom for Christmas. We wound up deciding on this more expensive one after some research. It performs beautifully. Let's go over the functions separately.Kneading - This is my favorite function by far. The four balls roll in localized areas while the whole quad moves up and down your back. It's perfect for working out knots, especially in the upper back (which we both struggle with)Rolling - this is a much gentler function, and one I usually like to finish with after working out a particularly sore back. The balls roll smoothly in place while the quad goes up and down, like a good massage therapist doing smooth and wide strokes.Tapping - this is the function we use the least, but it is still very helpful when needed. The balls individually pound your back rapidly. It can be a very good precursor when working on a highly knotted and tense back. The other functions are excellent too. The localized massages - upper and lower - cover a good, wide area of the back while being focused enough to work on problem areas. The heat is amazing, a perfect addition that deepens the effects of any of these massages. The full back massage is very customize-able with its perfect fit function. I'm 5' tall and my husband is 6', it fits us both perfectly. I can even get it to do a bit of my neck. The spot function is my FAVORITE FUNCTION. I get particular knots in my shoulder blades and it's bliss to sit back and have them kneaded out for 15 gently heated minutes. (or sometimes 30)We've been using this chair regularly (3-4 times a week each) for a month and it has held up with zero complications. The one real downside to this cushion is that it only works well on certain chairs. It may look like it can hook up to any chair at all, but it works best with stiff backed and relatively stiff seated chairs (office chairs and dining chairs work well) Because of the design of the cushion, it can also be slightly uncomfortable on short-seated chairs. Our dining chairs (which is what I use it on) have seats that are only about a foot long, and the thickness of the back of the cushion shortens that to about 11-10 inches. A chair with a longer seat would be much more comfortable, as it would compensate for the cushion's back.

Pretty good value for the price.
Ive had this massage cushion for about a year now and it's still running smoothly. For the price, it does a pretty darn good job, Vs the alternative of a full body massage chair.Tips: rollers don't easily reach your lower back if you sit in a cushioned seat or sofa. You must sit on a solid surface or get something to boost your seating height position. The roller depth is not adjustable so for some sensitive people it might be a little aggressive but it works well for me since I lift weights and it can dig into the muscle knots really well. The straight vertical seating position doesn't really conform well to reach the neck.

Welcome Back Relief
This arrives with a screw inserted in the massager which the instructions say must be removed before use. An Allen wrench is provided to remove the screw. I placed this cushion in the chair where my previous HoMedics was located. There are two sets of straps which are intended to hold the massager in place. The upper set of straps are too short to fit around the chair but the lower straps are longer and provide some security to keep the unit in place. There are numerous options on the hand unit which controls the type of massage and the placement of the massage. Everything works as intended. In my particular case my back goes out when I stand too long especially in one place such as preparing a meal which requires lengthy cooktop time. Yard work is another back foe. Spending 15 minutes parked on the massager brings desirable relief.

It'll More Than Do The Job
Good massager at a good price. Shiatsu rollers are hard and will allow for deep tissue work. Great for the large strips of muscle on either side of your mid and lower spine. Mine tend to lock up, and this machine worked out the knots. The heat is a cool feature. Works just fine- not too hot. What's missing/why no 4 stars: The older model I had allowed me to move the shiatsu "hands" and hold them in a specific region. That was great for targeting trouble areas. It also had a rolling only feature that would travel up and down. They still sell that model for $99 on Amazon, but the overall massage isn't as good as this updated model.
