Nice, inexpensive (when on sale) travel phones.
Wanted the ZR-LE phones as I have a pair and I like the sound and comfort,Though not without their flaws they weren't available at the time for a reasonable price.Zagg had just run out of them so I ordered these for $22 delivered.Of course Murphy's law got me as they are now here on Amazon for $3 more than I paid for these.I just ordered another pair of the ZR-LEs in bamboo as my stepson had admired my ZR-LEs in ebony. These have a upper bass/lower midrange hump so male vocals and acoustic guitars sound "veiled", and violins are somewhat strident probably due to uneven treble response, but they have surprisingly good bass extension for 40mm drivers. Many people will like the sound because it also gives most music a bass "thump".I prefer the more compact and even sound stage and upper midrange of these over the ZR-LE's which have a V shaped response which is fairly smooth and can sound thin but are very easy to equalize for a flat response. If you use a good player such as Foobar 2000 with a parametric EQ or MathAudios Headphone EQ you can cure the inaccuracies in frequency response in these, and most other, headphones and have a really nice sounding pair . . . . of headphones. These are very efficient which is nice for low powered cell phones which is what I use mine for, fold into an easily carried package with the cables being the weakest point and are on the ear phones with smaller cups so more comfortable in some circumstances, such as on plump soft pillows. All in all a fairly nice pair of convenient phones and a good value for $20-30 though I would look at the Monoprice 108323 at $35 or Sennheiser HD201 at $20 here on Amazon.The108323s are treble shy with 2 detachable cables, while the HD201s are bass shy and have low sensitivity. My son has the HD201s but has a Fiio E11 amp which cures both the bass and efficiency problems. Both are larger than the ZAGGs and have better cables and more robust construction and as they are around the ear are more comfortable for most people over extended listening sessions.Other HP's. Koss Pro/4AAA, ATH-Pro500MK2, Sony MDR-V6, ZAGG ZR-LE, HifiMan HE-560.

Great buy!
As a short rating, it is well built with good quality sound and very comfortable!DETAILED RATINGSOUND: The sound quality is very very good for the price! Of course, there are better headphones to get. But I bought these as an emergency type situation because my previous headphones broke. I will save for better ones but until then these will suffice for a long while!BUILD: While I'm talking about lasting a while, the build plays a big part in leading me to believe that. Not only do they look expensive and but the color of the bamboo wood really compliments the black frame and ear pads. I could tell just by looking at the cover of the box and the headphones before I even put them on that they were promising. And the comfortability (considering they're on-ear headphones) is excellent!PRICE: The price is actually very low, in my opinion, considering everything else about them. I think these are pretty comparable to some $40 headphones I've tried on at BestBuy and various other places. In addition, they came in the mail rather quickly! I ordered them on Sunday and they arrived by Wednesday.CONS: The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I was in a dilemma when deciding if I should buy these or not. I have had experiences with on-ear headphones where they squeeze too tight against my big head and my ears actually feel numb after a while. But I decided to choose the quality sound and build that other reviews seemed to compliment over the fact that they're not over-ear headphones, which is what I prefer. But considering these are emergency headphones, I will remind myself that I can always save to buy a better set in the future. If these headphones were over-ear, I would've given it a 5th star in a heartbeat. And in addition to the excellent build quality, clear sound, low price, and stylish look, they also look like they'll be useful in traveling seeing how they fold up and the cable is detachable to prevent it getting cut or tangled when moving it around.I definitely recommend these headphones for someone who is on a budget but at the same time enjoys looking stylish and doesn't mind on-ear headphones.
